Life of a PGH Intern

inspired by the videos “beauty of a second” this aims to show what goes on in a regular day of a Medical Intern of the Philippine General Hospital.

In 5 year’s time, hopefully… PGH has taught me well when I was a student-nurse. I’ve loved it like I’ve always loved home. It’s only been less than two months when I said goodbye, but my mind is already looking forward to the day I’m coming back. A lot of people ask me why many health professionals wanted to be in this place. I always tell them it’s about the rich history, the experience to work with best in the country, the never-ending tales of the struggle between life and death, the unwaivering desire to help, the little tear drops families shed when you save a life, the resourcefulness you will undoubtedly acquire, the thousand stories of everyday sacrifices, the chance to learn the out-of-this-world, the chance to do what many of us fail to do: give back. As a an intern or resident, I’ll definitely be home soon. PGH, whatever it takes…. <3
