“The hero is the one who kindles a great light in the world, who sets up blazing torches in the dark streets of life for men to see by. The saint is the man who walks through the dark paths of the world, himself a light.” ~Felix Adler
1.3/52 - So which have you chosen to become?
“We are each burdened with prejudice; against the poor or the rich, the smart or the slow, the gaunt or the obese. It is natural to develop prejudices. It is noble to rise above them.” ~Author Unknown
1.2/52 Most of the time, judgmental remarks about something or someone fill our head even before we learn to see through who they are and what they’ve been through.
“Everyone carries around his own monsters.—-Richard Pryor” ― Jonathan Maberry, Rot and Ruin

Visited Lipa Cathedral on the way to lola’s house in Rosario. It’s one of those times I badly wish I have a tilt-shift lens.

In 2007, my sister, my mom and I made these using sheer ribbon and christmas balls, which is yet another quirky way to use conventional tree decor. When my father and littlest sister came back from their trip to Hongkong, they were welcomed by our newly decorated Christmas tree, in traditional gold and red :)

I’ve always thought that our Christmas tree is interesting. We utilized the usual decors — christmas balls, shiny ribbons, poinsettias, etc — but with some twist. Instead of hanging the balls separately, we tied them up together like grapes, and hung them in small bunches like these which I think is a cuter way to display them :)

Don’t worry, my camera’s alloy body can well function as a club, and I’m not afraid to use it if needed.

“Forgiving does not erase the bitter past. A healed memory is not a deleted memory. Instead, forgiving what we cannot forget creates a new way to remember. We change the memory of our past into a hope for our future.” — Lewis B. Smedes
